Sachin Pilot announces his 'Jan Sangharsh Yatra' from Ajmer to Jaipur on May 11, over issues of corruption. The Congress leader also targetted Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot saying his leader was BJP’s Vasundhara Raje and not Sonia Gandhi.

Former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot, on Tuesday announced ‘Jan Sangharsh Yatra’ from Ajmer to Jaipur on May 11, to raise issues of corruption. Speaking in Rajasthan, Pilot also said not Sonia Gandhi, but Vasundhara Raje is Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s leader.

Pilot’s statement came a day after Gehlot claimed he survived the 2020 revolt by some Congress MLAs because BJP leaders Vasundhara Raje and Kailash Meghwal refused to support a conspiracy to topple an elected government through money power.

“After listening to Ashok Gehlot’s speech in Dholpur, it seems like his leader is not Sonia Gandhi, but Vasundhara Raje,” Sachin Pilot said.

Meanwhile, in response to Gehlot’s statement, Raje, a former chief minister of Rajasthan, however, said that “Gehlot’s ‘praises’ are a big conspiracy” against her and that the Congress leader was speaking lies due to rebellion in his party.

Gehlot also took potshots at the rebel Congress MLAs on Sunday, saying they should return the money they had taken from the BJP so that they can carry out their duty without any pressure.

“For the first time, I am seeing someone criticize MPs and MLAs of their own party. Praising leaders from BJP and dishonouring Congress leaders is beyond my understanding, this is absolutely wrong,” Sachin Pilot said reacting to Gehlot’s statement.

Sachin Pilot and 18 other Congress MLAs revolted against Gehlot’s leadership in July 2020.

The month-long crisis ended after the intervention of the party’s high command.

Pilot was then removed as the deputy chief minister and state Congress president.
